Major multi-site public art initiative to bring four new public art projects to downtown Brooklyn across BAM’s campus. Taking inspiration from a 2007 installation by Leo Villareal in the historic arched windows of the Peter Jay Sharp Opera House, the project included a robust discovery and research phase.
A selection of ten artists were invited to submit proposals: Nicole Eisennman, Teresita Fernandez, Rashid Johnson, Sam Moyer, Kay Rosen, Shaziah Sikkander, Sarah Sze, Hank Willis Thomas, Mickalene Thomas, and Leo Villareal.
