Jean Shin’s hanging illuminated sculpture was constructed with hundreds of decommissioned slides from the BAM Hamm Archives, serving as both a monument to BAM’s distinguished history in such a pivotal year and a moment to contemplate our relationship to material and memory in the digital age.
